Robert W. Palmatier is a Professor of Marketing, John C. Narver Endowed Professor in Business Administration, and Research Director of the Center for Sales and Marketing Strategy at the University of Washington. He is known for his work on Relationship Marketing. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, and presently is the Co-editor for Journal of Marketing. In the Author Productivity in the Premier AMA Journals list, he is currently listed as the third most prolific marketing researcher worldwide.

Series No. I: Increasing Research Success at Top Journals in Changing Times

A 1.5 hours workshop on how to increase your publication success. The presentation will discuss the changing requirements at top (UTD, FT50) journals, and the underlying changing dynamics across the global research community. A step-by-step overview will be outlined on how to improve research success including positioning, model tension, model dynamics, and multi-method approaches. The presentation will be made by the present co-editor of the Journal of Marketing (UTD, 5th highest impact factor journal in business) and past editor of JAMS (FT50, 3rd highest impact factor business journal)

Series No. II: Picking Research Topics: Benefits of Review Papers and Meta-analyses

Date & Time: 14:00-15:30, November 25, 2019

Venue: Room 402, Tongji Building A

A 1.5 hours workshop on how to identify and evaluate research streams and topics. A detailed overview of the benefits and process for doing conceptual, review, and meta-analytic papers will be discussed. A structured approach will be provided for both review and meta-analytic papers. The presenter has published over 25 UTD papers and over 10 review and meta-analytic papers using these techniques.
