ABSTRACT
Although scholars have repeatedly called for more longitudinal research to investigate changes and dynamics of important constructs and phenomena in OB research, longitudinal research adopting a dynamic and temporal perspective has still been minority in the field. In this talk, I will briefly talk about the use of such a dynamic approach. Then I will use my own research on personality development as one example, and in particular, share my recent work looking at change of proactive behaviors---promotive and prohibitive voice---during organizational socialization. I hope this talk will stimulate more research interests in tackling change-related issues and dynamics in the audience.
