ABSTRACT | 讲座摘要

This talk focuses on the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in business research. It examines two main methodologies for deploying LLMs: fine-tuning domain-specific models and using LLMs to operationalize a wide range of external tools. The talk explores how LLMs are utilized in FinTech, Information Systems, and Operations Management, covering topics like financial analysis, financial advisory, smart contracts, and ethical considerations in MIS. It also highlights the use of LLMs in operations management, using my latest paper as an example. The study aims to provide an introduction while demonstrating the future potential of LLMs in business research. To conclude the talk, Prof. Wu will introduce opportunities regarding MSc in Business Analytics and PhDs at CUHK.

本讲座重点讨论大型语言模型（LLM）在商业研究中的应用。它研究了部署 LLM 的两种主要方法：微调特定领域的模型和使用 LLM 来操作各种外部工具。该演讲探讨了GPT等大语言模型如何在金融科技、信息系统和运营管理中应用，涵盖财务分析、财务咨询、智能合约和管理信息系统等主题。讲座以吴教授最新的Management Science论文为例，说明大语言模型在制造业服务化研究中的使用。最后，吴教授会介绍香港中文大学商业分析理学硕士课程和相关博士生项目机会。

GUEST BIO | 讲者介绍

吴靖，香港中文大学商学院决策科学与企业经济学系终身教授及博士生导师，商务分析理学硕士项目主任，担任多本国际顶级期刊副主编。毕业于清华大学电子工程系，获得芝加哥大学布斯商学院MBA学位和博士学位。主要研究领域是全球产业链、商业大数据与商业智能，论文发表在Management Science、M&SOM、POMS等学术期刊，观点发表在斯隆管理评论、经济学人、福布斯等财经杂志上，为阿里、腾讯、瑞银等企业提供顾问咨询。其研究成果被CCTV、华尔街日报等全球 20多个国家的400 多家媒体报导，并受邀在美联储委员会（FED）、美国证监会（SEC）、国际货币基金组织（IMF）、亚洲开发银行（ADB）等机构讲座。在进入学术界之前，他曾在纽约的德意志银行担任量化投资经理。
